Congratulations Charlotte! I popped in on Wednesday and your work really made me smile. It was great to hold the dummies in my hands - even better than seeing them online x
Ahh so fantastic to see this project all coming together- I absolutely loved going through the book at the exhibition, especially the snail crossing! It made me laugh out loud! I hope it gets snapped up by a publisher 🤩🧡🩷
Love it! I play too when I’m stuck with work. The little vehicles remind me of Richard Scarry’s vehicles. My favourite is the fish sisters I think as they are such unlikely land racers. Good luck with your exhibition!

Thank you Sam! Thanks so much for coming to the show x
This is wonderful. Congratulations. It wouldn’t be children’s illustration without play.
Thanks so much Thelma. Yes that’s always good to remember.
Hiya! Is the exhibition in Cambridge too? Thanks!
Hello. Yes! It’s on in Cambridge from 27th Feb - 20th March, open Mon - Fri
Thanks! I’ll try to pop in. Is it at ARU?
Yes!
Love all of these, the Getaway Hat might be my favorite!
Thank you so much Annie!
These vehicles are so brilliant! I love reading about your process Charlotte, your play always produces such joyful and original work!
Thanks so much Nanette. That’s so kind ❤️🙌
The speeding sandcastle is my favourite! What a great project and yes I agree very strongly- nothing good happens without play
Thanks so much Jane! The sandcastle appears as a replacement car after a breakdown on the beach. I really loved making that one.
